The Sumerians, it represented the “vault of Heaven”, (Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, and Venus)
The Greek (Pythagoras) It represents Earth, Air, Fire and Water, with Spirit placed top, working together in harmony. They saw it as mathematical perfection, known as the Golden ratio.
The Christians believed the symbol was protective and symbolized Christ, until the 14th century when it began to be saw as Pagan and demonic worship.
