Tārā is regarded as a Bodhisattva of wellbeing, compassion and action. She is the female aspect of Avalokitesvara and in some traditions she comes from Buddha's tears. Now considered the "Mother of all Buddhas," referring to the enlightened wisdom of all Buddhas, while simultaneously echoing the ancient concept of the beloved Mother Goddess.
