I started drawing The Field of Sunflowers after seeing one on a bike ride in Virginia but it was flat and unreal looking so I began investigating botanicals of sunflowers and did this rendition of parts of several 1600s copper etchings. Flos Solis prolifer [Multiflorous sunflower] (Text in Latin).
